The Foundation is working towards having its own facility, named in honour of Virginia Rigby; the Foundation's founder. It will be a ‘one-stop-shop'; a place that belongs to the women and their families; a place for women who are newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment and survivors. It will be known as: "Virginia's Place" - The official residence of the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
- A place where various breast cancer groups can hold their meetings and get-togethers.
- A place where women undergoing treatment have somewhere to rest in between their appointment times.
- A place where women will have access to the latest and relevant information on breast cancer.
- A place where women will have access to information on their various local community services and resources.
- A place where women can connect with other women and not feel they are alone.
- A place where women can come and be a part of a supportive network in a peaceful and tranquil environment.
- A place where a ‘dedicated sewing room' is available for our many volunteers who help with the making of the ‘breast care cushions' and ‘drainage bags'.
