Newcastle  Volunteers

Whilst Newcastle has yet to form an official group, there are a number of volunteers in the Newcastle region who are more than generous with their time and money.

Penny Dudding | You Really Are Beautiful

Penny has been a supporter of the Foundation since it’s inception and held the position of Secretary from 2004 to 2008. She and her family have spent countless hours assisting in any way, shape or form possible.

Her business, You Really are Beautiful (in Lambton and the Entrance) puts her in the position of meeting local women who are living with breast cancer and gauging what these women need.

Penny is then able let these women know about the Foundation, and in turn give the Foundation ideas about new programs that will help women through their treatment and the subsequent recovery.

Simon (Penny’s husband) has not only be generous in his time fundraising and promoting the Foundation, but has also been the one to assist us in our endeavours with our website and the monthly email distribution of our E-Bravo newsletter.

Jane Harris

Jane Harris has been a major contributor to the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation since it’s beginning. Jane was at the first meeting when Virginia Rigby sought interest in forming the Foundation.

Jane was a board member from the beginning of the Foundation up to 2008 and she now co-ordinates the making of the comfort cushion for the Foundation.

She got involved because she felt it was a good cause - since then she has had members of her family touched by the disease, and she knows that Foundation is a necessary cause.
