What We Do

The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation does not undertaken research and it does not employ doctors or nurses for breast cancer patients. But it does work with these organisations locally and nationally cooperatively to ensure that local families have access to the right services and the right information.

The Foundation is a volunteer organisation headed up by a volunteer Board that works purely to support and help people through treatment for breast cancer.

The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation is committed to helping women, men and their families in the region, as they go through treatment for Breast Cancer.

The main form this grassroots support takes it to lift the burden of everyday activities from these families. Cleaning the house or mowing the lawn may not seem life changing, but for these families it can make each day a little easier.

The backbone of our organisation is our transport. Breast cancer treatment is time-intensive and whilst family and friends would like to be able to transport their loved ones to care, the sheer time required (generally during work hours), can prohibit them from assisting. This is where the Foundation can once again make life that little bit easier but transporting the patients from their house to treatment, waiting for them or with them, and then transporting them home.

If you would like this any of this assistance pleas don’t hesitate to contact us 0n 0419 658 875 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Alternatively if you can volunteer we are always on the lookout for more kind-hearted people.
